Lactic acid increases cell turnover and helps eliminate accumulated dead skin cells on the epidermis; the top layer of the skin. The skin gets firmer and thicker. As a result, there is an overall smoother appearance and fewer fine lines and deep wrinkles. 

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid. It's well-known for reducing acne by exfoliating the skin and keeping it clear. It reduces sebum production, unclogs pores and fights inflammation. 

 

Willow bark hydrates and protects the skin from UV damage. It soothes irritated skin, is antibacterial and alleviates acne
